THS PEP RALLY

It is always great to see our former R.L. Young students having fun, being successful, and representing Talladega High School so well.  

White Cane Awareness

Teachers and students from AIDB came to Young to do a presentation on White Cane Awareness.  They taught them about the importance of the white cane, what it represents, how to lead a blind person, etc.  They also allowed the students to be lead around and pretend they couldn't see anything.  The students gained a better appreciation of having sight and realized the challenges that the blind encounter.

Dauphin Island Mobile Sea Lab

 

Mrs. Graves, our gifted teacher, arranged for Dauphin Island mobile sea lab to spend the day at each of the four elementary schools.  The students and teachers loved the presentation. We had the opportunity to hold and touch the preserved sea creatures.  What a great learning experience!  Thanks Mrs. Graves!!!!
