SPELLING BEE

The 5th grade classes recently held their spelling bee.  The top 5 students will be competing in the school spelling bee that will be held in January.  Congrats to the top 5 spelling bee winners-Jake C., Carolyn H., Laine M., Lucas P., and Jeremia T.  Lucas was our overall winner.  Great job 5th grade!

The 5th & 6th grade students recently participated in a writing contest.  The students had to choose a  person that was 60 years of age or older.  They had to write about what made that person special. The essays were fantastic!  The top two essays from each class were entered into the Alagasco writing contest.  * Brianna K., Alex A., Samantha L., Luke W., Laine M., Kristen F.*

Community Service

The UGA students recently collected 265 cans that we donated to the Red Door Kitchen.  It's  wonderful when we can give to others.  Way to go UGA!

 

The last day to bring in items for Comfort from the cold is Dec. 21st.

Congratulations to Tripp A. for winning the enormous frog at the end of our 20 day count.  His name was chosen from all of the students that were present every day with no tardies or check-outs.  Way to go Tripp!

B.O.B. AWARD

Congrats to Haylee W. for receiving the B.O.B award (bend over backwards) from our principal, Mrs. Thomas.  Haylee scored a perfect 100 on her reading ARMT.  Now that is IMPRESSIVE!!! GREAT JOB HAYLEE!
